MAS in Sustainable Water Resources update 2024

THE MAS PROGRAM IS CLOSING DOWN AFTER SEPTEMBER 2024.

We are therefore not accepting any new students.

What Alumni have to say about the MAS experience

MAS alumni have found jobs in consulting companies, in the hydropower sector, in the risk modeling sector, as advisors on water resources, at research organizations, as lecturers in universities, and as PhD students.  Here is what some of them have to say about their experiences studying at ETH Zurich:

ETH Ambassador blog by Behailu Nadew (MAS 2019/2020): Discovering a new version of myself and a ladder to a better future

Victoire Urinayo

Victoria Urinayo, PhD candidate, Université de Montreal CanadaStudying at ETH Zurich was one of the best experiences I've ever had because I earned a degree from one of the prestigious universities in the world. It was a great chance to learn new technical skills on advanced level from professors who are experts in their fields and also share ideas with students from different backgrounds. All those skills and experience, I believe they will help me in the future as a researcher and in my career afterwards. Briefly, being part of MAS program, it was a great exposure as I met new people, learned new skills and enjoyed traditions from other countries which gave me a chance to expand my horizon and try new things. IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

Keerthana Suresh, PhD candidate, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) Vienna: "A highly technical curriculum and excellent academic environment during my MAS studies at ETH was one of my best learning experiences. Besides, some modules provide an interdisciplinary perspective that challenge conventional understanding and allow you to push boundaries on critically thinking about water security and climate change. Apart from academia, my life experiences in Switzerland and memories together with my colleagues in an international environment was very enriching. The course is very relevant and applicable to both research and industry. It was certainly a stepping stone that increased my chances to continue research in the water sector and secure a PhD position supported with a prestigious EU scholarship.
